SC Society of Industrial and Office Realtors Met in Charlotte

CHARLESTON, SC - March 14, 2012 - The Carolinas Chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) held a Spring Conference February 23-24, 2012 in Charlotte, NC.  The conference opened with a panel discussion on the topic “The Driving Forces of the Carolinas”. 

The panelists included industrial and office broker specialists who discussed commercial real estate activity in their respective markets throughout North and South Carolina.  The opening session was followed by networking events amongst the 120 brokers, sponsors and guests attending the conference as well as students from Clemson University’s Master of Real Estate Development program who came to interact with industry members.

The following day, Tim Newman with the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority spoke on the NASCAR Hall of Fame and correlated the significance of the NASCAR industry as a driving force in Charlotte’s economy.  This presentation was followed by round table discussions with the event’s Gold Sponsors:  Capital Bank, CoStar Group and Nubox.  The conference closed with a Carolinas Chapter of SIOR member meeting.  Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors® (www.sior.com) is a global professional organization that certifies commercial real estate service providers with the exclusive SIOR designation.
